The 2nd Annual Wellingtonista Awards was held last December 6 at Mighty Mighty organized by http://wellingtonista.com to support the Downtown Community Ministry.

Among who joined the Awards night is Actor Giovanni Ribisi, is in Wellington while shooting the film Avatar. Bret of Flight of the Conchord also there to accept the Wellingtonian of the year award and rock group Blam Blam Blam played awesome.

According to Wellingtonista.com, they received a total of 678 votes this year or more than a 1300% increase on last year. The most votes were for best public space (587 votes), single nominee (374) and the least votes for a single nominee was 5.

On the other hand, the closest margin of victory was 2 votes (coffee beans) and the second closest was 5 votes (best apparel emporium) and the largest margin of victory was 303 votes.
