Thousands of Wellingtonian are expected to gather today at the city centre for the Annual Santa Parade. This is my second time to attend to this events but this time with the whole family.
Last year, me and my wife witness the parade, however now much happier because my kids are here. This is an opportunity for my family to celebrate Christmas and the traditions we enjoy.
Starting at 2.00pm, the parade will travel down Lambton Quay, Willis, Mercer and Wakefield streets, finishing in Cuba Street. Pre-parade entertainment, including giveaways and balloons, will begin at 1.00pm.
This year the parade features a variety of traditional Christmas floats like the Swan and the Wellington Weather Float and new ones like The Black Pearl, and Bart and Homer Simpson.
