A quick break…

A nice long trip outside Adelaide, we went to Aldinga, a seaside town near fabulous Aldinga Beach.
This is also a great spot for scuba diving and snorkeling, with the beach overlooking an aquatic reserve established to protect a rare reef formation.

If you loved diving and snorkeling, this is your paradise, with dramatic shipwrecks and stunning marine life, including the famed leafy seadragon.
You need to check the Port Willunga as well. Port Willunga is a coastal village on Fleurieu Peninsula, home to ancient shipwrecks and seaview restaurants like Star of Greece cafe.

The remains of the Star of Greece, a three mast, iron cargo ship wrecked here in 1888, provide a poignant reminder of the storms that can sometimes disturb this normally placid coastline near Willunga.
See more of the Fleurieu Peninsula – a coastal playground famed for its laidback lifestyle, beach breaks for surfers of all levels of experience, and top fishing spots. Please check my photos at aMikothing
