If you want to unwind,relax and far from the city? Well !! Why not spend your time visiting the Yorke Peninsula ?

With the waters of Gulf St Vincent on the east and Spencer Gulf on the west, fresh seafood is everywhere you turn!

Dine on blue swimmer crabs, crayfish or scallops plucked fresh from the sea. Try your luck at catching your own fish from a jetty.

A two hours drives from Adelaide, our first stop is Port Hughes . A picturesque coastal town featuring one of the prettiest beaches on the northern peninsula. With its clear blue waters and fantastic long jetty, it is widely renowned as a fishing hot spot.

We spend half a day here to try to catch fish, blue crab and squid and we are not disappointed my daughter got a big squid and also my two friends also catches a crab and a fish.

Surveyed in 1863 and named after Sir Watson Hughes, Port Hughes is located just minutes from Moonta, Wallaroo and Kadina. We also went to Moonta in the afternoon for a swim.

Moonta has many beautiful old buildings, churches and historical sites. The Moonta Mines Museum located in the former Moonta Mines Model School, circa 1878, contains works on the life on a miner, with a very hands-on approach for kids and is well worth a visit.

After a long day adventure, We spend a night at one of the Holiday houses in Wallaroo.

Wallaroo is a port town on the western side of Yorke Peninsula in South Australia, 160 kilometres north-northwest of Adelaide. It is one of the three Copper Triangle towns famed for their historic shared copper mining industry, and known together as “Little Cornwall”.

Next Day , we went to Innes national Park to visit the Cape Spence Light house, a two hours drive from Wallaroo.

The  Innes National Park, on the southern tip of the Yorke Peninsula, encompasses spectacular coastal landscapes, a diversity of wildlife habitats. Be sure to pay entry fees and book and pay for camping and accommodation at the website or you get hefty fine.
