A day of multicultural celebrations

More than 40,000 people  went to  Elders Park in Adelaide and the street of King William to celebrates the Australia Day . The Event event has traditionally been held in Elder Park since 2003 on the 26th January. The
Australia Day in the City event occurs every Australia Day in January and includes three main components – a Parade, Concert and Fireworks.
Australia Day in the City begins at 6:00 pm with the Australia Day Parade. At 7:00 pm the Parade will have reached Elder Park and the main stage begins operating. This is my second time attending this event since moving here from New Zealand in 2012.
The Australia Day Parade in Adelaide is the largest Australia Day Parade in the country, featuring more than 4000 people celebrating what they love about Australia and being Australian. The Parade includes over a 150 community groups, vintage cars, horses, a giant echidna, floats, giant characters and includes a fly past by an F-18
Hornet.
