As we celebrate Mother's Day today in Australia and New Zealand in honoring mothers and motherhood, maternal bonds, and the influence of mothers in society.
I'm very lucky I have my Grandmother who always there to guide me in achieving all my dreams. I really miss her and I know she is now in good hands.
I salute all the Mothers out there, who sacrificed their life to give her family a better future especially for her kids.
Before the big event, the other day, We went to China town in the City to celebrates Mother's Day after we attended a evenbrite sponsored Exhibit.
My wife told me we should eat our lunch first before we got to Rundle Mall. So, we went to Adelaide Central Market . For lunch, we ordered Chicken Teriyaki Bento and a sushi for my daughter.
For your information, the tradition of giving gifts to mothers on Mother's Day in Australia was started by Mrs Janet Heyden, a resident of Leichhardt, Sydney, in 1924. She began the tradition during a visit to a patient at the Newington State Home for Women, where she met many lonely and forgotten mothers.
To cheer them up, she rounded up support from local school children and businesses to donate and bring gifts to the women. While in New Zealand tradition is to give cards and gifts and to serve mothers breakfast in bed.
This morning my daughter surprised my wife with a special gift. If you till looking for a best Mother's Day gift, check out the Red Baloon Ideas.
