Last week, I met Casey from Darwin Day tours for a fun and exciting adventures down to the Adelaide river, courtesy by Mr Simon Pattinson, Crowne Plaza Darwin Guest Service Experience Manager.
She picked me up at Crowne Plaza Darwin at around 12:45 in the afternoon with 12 other passengers from the Cruise Ship ,The Radiance of the Seas docked at the Fort Hill Wharf.

From the Darwin to Adelaide River Queen takes 45 minutes drive.
Before tours, we went to Fogg Dam Conservation Reserve and saw different species of Bird such as Australian Pelican, Magoie Goose, Plum whistling Duck, Darter, Comb crested Jacana, egret and Kingfisher.
This Reserve provides a haven for Wildlife among Darwin;s developing rural fringe. It is part of Adeilade River catchment, which is one of several connected catchment that make up the Top End wetlands.

Limilngan-Wulna people speak for this land, known as Ludrawe, this site is an important part of their culture
Fogg Dam is located approximately 65 km of Darwin along the Arnhem Highway. The dam was built in the mid 19050's to provide irrigation for the Humpy Doo rice project.
We also went to Window on the Wetlands Visitor Centre which provides an introduction to the northern coastal wetlands.
From the top floor of the Centre enjoy superb views across the floorplains, especially during the early morning or late afternoon.
Then, we went to the main event “The famous Jumping Crocodiles Cruise”, home to over 1,600 crocodiles. I was very fascinated with this tour, How can anybody get a wild 6m croc to jump right next to a boat.
I don't believe it at first but Wendy and her team from Adelaide river Queen Cruise make it happened and they even give these crocodile their own names such as Bogart and sniffty among others.
The Adelaide River Cruise had been working with these animals for 28 years and has the knowledge.
It was memorable experience for me and thanks to the Staff and crew of Darwin Day tours, Aaking, The Adelaide River Queen Cruise and Crowne Plaza Darwin.
