Breast cancer is the most common cancer among New Zealand women, with more than 2500 new cases expected this year - also approximately 20 men will be diagnosed.
According to New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation, more than 600 women will die from the disease this year - making it the leading cause of cancer-related death in females.
Tomorrow is Pink Ribbon Day with a nationwide Street Appeal by New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation.
Volunteer Area Co-ordinators and collectors will be out on the streets gathering donations in return for a pink ribbon.
As you can see, October is internationally recognised as Breast Cancer Action Month and is The New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation’s major fundraising event. Check their website here.
Please help fight Breast Cancer and support the Pink Ribbon Street Appeal.
