Yesterday, the 2008 World Youth Day began in Sydney, Australia with the theme:"You will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you will be my witnesses".
WYD08 will be the largest event Australia has ever hosted. It will attract over 125,000 international visitors - more than the 2000 Olympics.
Me, World Youth Day 1995WYD08 will mark the first visit of His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI to Australia.
In New Zealand, around 4000 you kiwi pilgrims joined the rest of WYD participants and the National government assure them that they' right behind on their pilgrimage to WYD in Sydney.

Thirteen year ago, I was once World Youth Day participant also held in Manila, Philippines with the theme: "As the Father sent me, so am I sending you". It was a wonderful experience in my life the love of God and I also met young people from different countries from Canada to USA.
