Winds, Cold and Fire

Whoosh! Bang! Crackle! Aaagh! Yahoo!. It was a wonderful night the skies above Wellington Harbour illuminated with brightly coloured firework as the highlight of the 2008 Petone Winter Carnival last Sunday.

Before the fireworks, We went to petone foreshore with my friends: Noel and his wife Jean and Ariel, my new found friend to watched the Meltfire.

The Meltfire is a nine minute show compposed of fire eating, fire breathing, staff twirling, fire poi and fire percussion while my eldest son Ivan loved Mr. Fungus.

Mr. Fungus show combines interactive visual and verbal comedy, mime, juggling and cat-swinging set to backing soundtracks.

Around 7:35 pm, with exotic names such as Colourful Bees, Thousand Times Rain Dragons, Peonies, Chrysanthemums and Dahlias, the pelorus trust fireworks began coordinated by Wellington based fireworks company Brimstone Pyrotechnics for almost 15 minutes spectacular display in the sky.
