The Show me Short film festival opening night in Paramount cinema in Wellington Yesterday is a big success. The Mico Santos's Style of Life was invited to witness the 8 winners of the film festival last night.
Thanks to Festival Director Gina Dellabarca for the tickets.
I was amazed and cry with the short film "Poppy" and that's why Poppy was the big winner during the Show me Short film festival taking home three awards: SDGNZ Best Director, SDGNZ Best Editor and the Special Jury Prize
Here is the Poppy trailer :
Poppy is a CGI drama set on France's western front in World War One.
Two New Zealand soldiers are trapped behind enemy lines and are trying to find their way to safety. They find an orphaned baby under it’s dead parents in a ditch. One of the men wants to save it, the other does not.
Poppy is based on a true events - the writer's great-grandfather was one of the soldiers.
Well I wish I could also make a short film like James Cunningham's.
Congrats to All the winners.
