Eight months ago ,Ms. Sarah Hopkins invited me to the Big Shwop event held at Southern Cross Bar in Wellington and I interview her about the Shwop for thesidestrip.
And now ,they are heading north for the first time - Auckland City, this coming Saturday September 26 at the Langham located at 83 Symonds Street.
According to Hopkins, they can drop their clothes off between 11am-1pm in exchange for vouchers .
She said at 2pm, The Big Shwop will begin. You can use your vouchers in exchange for any item in the Shwop.
Ms. Hopkins also added that 15% of all profit will be donated to The Fair Trade Foundation and all the un-shwopped clothes from this event are going to the Mercy Hospice.
