Jingle Jangle Morning

"The artist's painted world opposes the humanisation of animals with the animalisation of humans"- Ron Brownson

Since High School I always fascinated with different kind of Bird. I love researching their origin and the foods that they eat. One afternoon I went to NZ National Library to return some books that I borrowed I pass by the City Gallery and saw my favorite painter " Bill Hammond" exhibit called Jingle Jangle Morning

The exhibit follows the bird motif and its relationship to music; the title comes from the Bob Dylan song Hey Mr. Tambourine Man but is also the name of one of Hammond painting. The exhibition run from November 16 to February 2008. So being Hammond fan, before I left the City Gallery I bought small postcard with Artist painting "Ancestral E" for $2.00.
